celebrate, on July 18, The
World (Fans) Gymnastics Day, to help bring attention
to the sport of gymnastics and to encourage and promote physical
fitness among our world's youth; and
WHEREAS, gymnastics provides a great foundation and offers
skills for a lifetime, which include building strength, flexibility,
and coordination, and enhancing self-esteem and goal setting
abilities; and
WHEREAS, The World Fans Gymnastics Day introduces the value
of physical fitness for every age, race, gender, and ability
level; and
WHEREAS, on The World Fans Gymnastics Day,
the numerous gymnastics fans around the world, supporting
us to heighten the visibility of the sport and encourage participation
at the grass roots level; and
WHEREAS, collectively, each gymnastics fan strive to encourage
greatness and achievement in the young people around the World;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, romanian-gymnastics.com, do hereby proclaim
July 18, 2006, to be (the first) : World
(Fans) GYMNASTICS DAY.
We hereby request the International Gymnastics Federation
to change the (official) World Gymnastic Day, from October
16 (which is also the World Children's Day) to July 18, a
Day which will mark (much better), Forever, the history of
World Gymnastics, and make it The
World Gymnastics Day.
